This week I published another new story called “Nothing but the Blood,” and I have to say, I debated with myself a bit before publishing ~ and even after. It’s a good story but a bit darker than is my usual way, and I’m not at all sure about it. Still, I’m also not at all sure that writers are always the best judges of their own work! 😉
So . . . as Geoff Shaw (literally the best resource for making a living writing fiction [and nonfiction] I’ve ever found) says (I’m paraphrasing here): If you already have content (books & stories), even if you don’t think they will sell well based on your research, it would be silly not to publish them (this is always assuming they’re well written, etc.). You never know ~ and unless your books and stories are published they will be of no value to you or anyone else.
And one thing I do know: better to do and see where it takes you than to not do and go nowhere (that sounded kinda Yoda-ish, didn’t it 😉 ).
So here’s this Friday’s FREE Story: “Nothing but the Blood.” I hope you enjoy it.
And, as always: Have a most excellent weekend!
